I wish I could add to this at this time. One of my wife's rose bushes in the front garden had like 10-15 blooms open altogether in a bunch. It honestly looked like abouquet. Problem is, I don't receive my *ist DL until tomorrow and they have already gone... We do have another rose about to bloom, hopefully I can catch it before it's gone too. Don't expect much though, I'm a noob to shootin with the SLR, but I'll see what I can produce.

Roses - what fun! These are really nice pictures. I've taken a couple that I thought were OK. There's three (sorry,I always get carried away, don't I?). I took them one day as I was wandering around at lunch time, not far from my office. This first one is a more traditional picture.

Finally, this one appeals more to my sense of humor, I guess. I don't know - it's non-traditional in its framing, and sometimes that makes things fun. It's OK to tell me that my composition is poor - I often have a hard time judging such things.

I like it! (I like them all, but as you say, it's more fun when it's not what you expect.)
