Thanks!

I've downloaded at had a quick look. Will take some time to get used to, hope they make it a bit more like RSE/RSP.

I'm always concerned about beta software, and new programs in general. What does it do that is different/better than CS2?

mtngal, It is a companion to CS2 not a replacement. It is a combination of a decent photo organizing program with a powerful RAW converter, it will therefore take care of all the basic processing needs but you still need an editor for any more involved work (such as cloning for instance). I especially like how the "Develop" component allowed me to correct for the vignetting of the kit lens at the 18mm end.

I would not recommend to anyone to rush out and buy this but I think it is definitely worth checking out the beta release to see if you really want it. It has more features than RSE but I don't know about RSpro (since both have now been acquired by Adobe any additional features may end up in the final version of Lightroom)

I agree with Your assessment. It Is a Companion To CS2. I am Checking out The Beta right now and From what I have seen Its a great program. However i still like RSP better. But I am Old and set in My ways!!! LOL:lol: The Download text did say to the effect that Beta 3 does not have all the features that they were planning on includeing.

From my limited Time playing with lightroom,MY inital impression was they had just added Some new features but the front end was very Similar to ACR3.4

I dont know if it was discussed over Here. But all registered owners of RSP were Sent an e-mail from Adobe saying that When lightroom goes gold. Alll owners of RSP will be given a full Downloadable version of Lightroom V1.

FYI - You must be running Windows XP with Service Pack 2. It will not install otherwise.
