This bard owl sat on ths fence post long ehough for me to drive a quarter-mile down the road, turn around, come back and stop, focus the camera and shoot about five shots. Shot with the istDL at 800 iso with the 70-300 promaster f-4.5 f-5.6 zoom

How often do you get to shoot the garbage crew in action. This turkey vulture was cleaning up a very dead fish.

Great shot of the owl! I hardly ever get to see one around here much less when I have the camera with me! I'm jealous!

All the pictures were outstanding. I can wait to get my first DSLR, to do some serious photography and have fun.

Your pictures were great.

I really like the Owl photo, they are one of my favorite birds to photograph, but hard to find during the day time.

Had to send this picture, yes I know the background is busy and the image isn't all that sharp, but the pose is priceless. Check out the little guy in the right lower third.

All these are excellent! The only decent picture I've taken of an owl was at my sisters, and taken with the Sony.

Ira - that little fellow flying with his legs out is cute!
