Here are a few pictures I took over the last 2 weeks. The fly is rather small. The flower Bud is about 4 to 5 mm in diameter.

I wonder whyI always hear, 6 MP ain't enough...

The 2 pics with the darker background are Vivitar Series 1 105mm with a Spiratone ring flash (dampened with white Styrofoam), the others are Pentax D-FA 100 with 2x Vivitar Macro focusing Converter on closest setting.

These really are awesome! Just incredible and definitely WOW!

PP stands for post processing (as in any changes done).

Hummph, now I am sooooooooooo jealous! lolol! Those are excellent macros, I want what you have now! lol!

Trouble is, I can't afford to buy any new lenses until I have some more money coming in and that could be some time yet. (Waiting for the benefits people to decide if they are going to give me back my disability benefit that they kindly stopped without warning for no reason).

Hehe, don't feel bad, I didn't know either.

I have to say those are amazing. I tried to take a shot of a small Greenbottle Fly. I couldn't get close enough to take that kind of shot. Here's the best I could do and this was cropped quite a bit from the original:
