Can anyone tell me the differnce between sigma 70-300mm 4-5.6 Macro and same lens with APO badge?? I know that APOhas better glass in the lens, but can you see any difference between them on 5x7 or 10x15 print or while viewing photos on the screen?? Or is it just visible on bigger prints or while viewing at 100%??

I purchases that particular lens and was not completely happy with it, While it was good in bright sunlight, at about 150mm at f/11, other focal distances and conditions it was far from sharp. Backfocussing was also an issue at longer focal lengths when the focus would go slightly past the actual subject.

As for the APO Glass, It did make a difference at large sized prints thats for certain, It is a good lens, but I suppose I gota bad copy of it. When used in the correct conditions it works extremely well.

I stepped up a bit and shelled out for a Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 DG APO and it is an amazing lens. For the money nothing can compare. :-)
