Google's Picasa is useful if you need to do some quick fixes. Surprisingly, it will open Raw files, even those from a *ist DL.

red eye removal is definately in Photoshop. i've used it myself.

Another free-bee is Irfanview. I use it to resize, crop, red eye reduce, &color correct. It`s so simple that even I can use it. If you google it, you will find it.

i really started this thread to post full fledged graphics programs. a lot that have been posted, like irfanview, do not have the capabilities of paint.net or the gimp. altho the lessor programs are great they are very limited. i posted the biggies as a way for those that have said monetary limits were a problem..
