Wow, amazing photo and an amazing lens. In my quest for knowledge I ran it through Froogle, that thing is worth more than my truck!

That is A-maz-ing! That shot is incredible! The lens also of course. How big is that monster ... like filter size (for lack of tech terms)???

The lens is 7 3/4 lb, minimum focus 33', f/4.5-f/45, with 4 elements, it uses 49mm filters that mount in the rear section.
