In the garden last night just as dusk was taking a hold I came across this fellow.

Taken with vivitar 105mm macro at f8 with onboard flash in raw and processed with the new lightroom. As a processor lightroom is going to take some getting used to, but initial impressions are favourable, and the failings in these are probably down to my mistakes. Having said that There are two claring errors im my view, firstly it needs more depyth of field and secondly the onboard flash simply isn't good enough for this sort of shot. Guess I'm going to have to invest in a flash unit.

Eeewww, yuk yuk yukky yuk! lolol! You wouldn't believe I don't like spiders would you? lol, eeewww, yuk!

Now that the trembling and shuddering and cringing is over with, well done, good shot, like the cropped version too, he's eating his dinner, yum, er, I mean yuk

absolutely nothing wrong with this great shot. i've found the onboard to be adaquate with some macro shots. at 1:1 the lens gets in the way tho.. off camera will give you more depth and shadows. that's why i dont like using a ring flash or the OB or a ringlight..
