Wish I had taken my DA 50 1.4, but the DL with the kit lens did a pretty good job, I thought.

A few more at http://www.pbase.com/drwindmill/county_fairif you care to take a look.

Regards, Lawrence

That first one, is it a Llama? I want to take him home with me, hehehe. Mind you, I want to take most animals home with me!

Lovely clear shots. Just one little erm, not criticizm, hate that word and I don't like criticizing other peoples work but the horse, the bottom of his mouth, would have liked that to have been in the frame more if you know what I mean.

I hate saying anything about other peoples work that can be taken as criticizm but in this instance felt I would point it out, please don't take it the wrong way though, the pics are lovely in themselves.

Very nice images Lawrence! I like the second one in particular--the braided mane on the horse makes a very appealing focal point to the picture! County fairs are great; I will be heading to one this weekend as well!

Thanks to all for your comments. It was a delightful day at the fair.

And, Alison, that is an Alpaca, a wonderful, gentle beast, handled by an 11 year old. There were two others for sale, but I am guessing that the shippingto Bournemouth might be a little expensive. : ) You are right about the framing for the horse's head. I kicked myself when I saw the result, but I thought the mane braiding was a real item of interest. I appreciate your comment.

Regards, Lawrence

Looks like a very nice day at the fair. The animal barns are always a great place to get some fun shots, but many times the light isn't that great.

The kit lens did a great job for you and the images are all sharp and with great color.

Very nice closeup of the lama

Too bad the nose of the horse falls outside the frame in the second one, I had a look on your site, and I liek this one better:

The parallel lines in its hair make it very interesting too.
nice shot!

May I substitute the image with the partialnose for this one with a full nose? : )
