you'll probably find the tamron like the sigma will give better results at 260-280mm at f8-11.

Yeah, every single time I get home from work and walk into the house, Buddy is there at the back glass door with one of his balls in his mouth wanting me to come out and play with him. Golden Retrievers really are a good breed of dog, and my only problem will be getting him to sit still long enough to pose for a picture. I guess I will need toreally increasethe shutter speed! LOL.

Nice pics, the camera did a great job with the many varied colors and details in the frog picture.
