This is my little Jack Russell mix we rescued from the SPCA 2 years ago. We have been throwing a birthday party of sorts for her every year and this photowas taken at this year's party. :-)Usually she will shy away from the camera and turn her head the other way but for some reason she just sat and posed for me. This is Wishbone:

Great shot and adorable dog! Did you take this with the kit lens (l8-55 DA)? It looks like it or the 50-200 DA lens. Beautiful rich color saturation and sharp.

Actually, that was taken with the 70-210mm manual focus Vivitar lens I bought for $30 new off of Cameta on Ebay. I've been trying to get used to it and using the manual focus. I was actually pleasantly surprised that it turned out as well as it did.

Well, I was right in that the lens' look seemed familiar to me. I too bought a 70-2l0m Vivitar lens from Cameta off eBay recently and this photo of my dog on a hay bale was taken with it. You are right, the lens takes surprisingly good pictures. It has raised my opinion of Vivitar!

What a cutie pie. Every time I see a dog or even a photo of one, makes me want one all the more.

Lovely shot.
