If it is the lever at the top of the lens mount, gently pull it towards you.

Yep just push it back into place. I used tweezers and (dare I say it) a 0.5mm pencil as a probe and for knocking the screen around into place on the silver frame.

Starting point here http://www.euronet.nl/~pimr/fsinstal.html

Nice clear pic of the camera innards. Much better than the murky pics I followed.

a walk in the park. screen is installed w/no probs and auto focus works fine and the focus beep is working... thanks darren for the tip about the pencil.. it may be me but i think the viewfinder is about 1/3 stop dimmer and test shots(not many) seem to be about 1 stop over, believe it or not. i await other reviews from others. how much does a new LL-60 pentax screen cost?? this seems a deal for 26usd delivered..

Glad you got it all back together Roy. My nervousness was because I only bought the camera in Feb this year, so didn't want to ruin it.

actually , i was not nervous doing it. i just wanted a couple of pointers.
i guess not having the shakes is due to the fact that i've cleaned the sensor enough times that i'm accustomed to being in the cam. i should have blown everything out while i was in there tho..

I'm just wondering, would a split screen from a Spotmatic, ME or Rollei work on a istD????
