took these on the way to phoenix. i guess passers by thought 'look at the crazy guy with the tripod' as they drove by. i swear i never saw the electric lines until i opened the images.. oh well.. kit lens

I do like those shots. Getting to be tough to find places there aren't power lines.

Those are quite "dramatic" shots, great feel to them.

I know what you mean about not noticing the electric lines, I took some landscape shots of the heathland I visit one day and never noticed all the power lines going across! Was only once I opened them all up on the pc that I realised they were there. lol!

i could not see them. i made a point of it NOT to include wires.. from the place i shot at..

Love them - I can see why you stopped to take pictures, the colors and clouds are unusual. I've given up trying to do without wires - I avoid them if I can, but they just seem like such a part of life anymore.

Roy, I do not believe I have ever seen yellow like that in a sunset here (or anywhere else). Great colors and if you had not mentioned the power lines I don't know that I would have noticed them.I would have stopped to capture that sunset too and to heck with what anyone else thought.
