here that's a common garden spider. best spider in the world to have around. all it does is eat and eat and eat insects i've seen them the size of my hand. i also know people that try to transfer them to better places to build their webs..

The size of your hand? Eeeeeeeek! No thank you! lol!

We started getting these spiders over here a couple of years ago I think, before that, they weren't native to this country at all, no idea how they got here mind. The fascinating thing about these is the way they build their webs, so unique, not like other spiders webs.

A common garden spider here is just a brown horrible ugly thing! lol!

Not my desktop but one I sent to the father of the bride. Notice the backdrop leaves plenty of room for desktop icons.

I don't like spiders either but I will try to move them because of their very useful eating habits. I do shoot them occasionally because they are such willing subjects.

Wow, this is very impressive! Very professional looking (I assume you're not a pro?). Stunning shot of a stunning bride.

Thanks Alison. I am definitely not a pro but I usually do a wedding or two each year.

Screen shot of my desktop this morning (put it on a couple of days ago and it's time to change it). Not one of my better efforts, but the lighting is interesting.

Finally got around to changing my desktop today. Here's what I changed it to. Thought this one had a nice DOF.

This is just a spider shot I took last night. No light, used flash with af assist, very hard to focus. I used autofocus and it appears it focused on the brick wall. I could not see to use manual focus. No way this will be my desktop, I hate spiders![img][/img]
