Hopefully to be published online by end August! Preliminary key contents of my full review include:

1. Jpeg quality comparison between K100D and *ist DS;

2. Color accuracy / (A)WB comparison against *ist DS;

3. AF sensor parallex error test against viewfinder marks;

4. AF red point indication parallex error check against viewfinder marks;

5. AF system time lag test! (AF speed test):

Preliminary test results for a fairly bright and contrasty object with a thick vertical line is 0.352 second w/ DA 18-55mm focusing from infinity to 0.5m @35mm. Whilst the figure for my MZ-S under all same conditions is a mere of 0.177 second.

6. System time lag test (for the time between AF has been achieved and shutter opened for exposure): 247ms mesaured for K100D and 112ms for MZ-S! *ist DS will be tested soon!

7. AF accuracy test - a very simple but effective one! Comparison against *ist DS;

8. Well, most importantly, exposure accuarcy tests for the K100D!

9. Other pros and cons briefing;

10. Full sized sample pics gallery! (tens of pics, I think)

11. Any other things which a potential buyer should/must know before buying!

See you, I now go back to prepare my report! :-)

I second the need for SR test as this is the key selling point of K100D.
Also I may quote Ira on his suggestion :' keep measuring'

Maybe a reference/comparison to the DL for us who have this model. I have never seen a DS in person and I believe they are discontinued, so I have no reference point for the comparison. Just a statement of the major differences between the DS and DL as a footnote would be enough.-Jon

The biggest difference between de DS and DL is the AF. DS has 11-point AF and the DL has 3-point AF.

I think the DS will focus faster by default. Other than that, I don't think there's that much difference in image quality.

This is one of the most conclusive and evident tests that show sr really does WORK:http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...hread=19647176

Thanks and yes, of course. I just forgot to type in the SR as one of the tests :-)

I used a DL before to see if the DL worth the replacement to my somehow unsatisfactory DS. But I'm afraid to tell that the DL has even simply less accurate AF and every other things are similar.
