I have just been playing with a focus screen for my DL.
My Zenitar 16 mm is on its way.
Yet even before its arrival, I went into that g _ _ _ _ _ _ _ camera shop (H _ _ _ _ )again and played around with the new K100D.
It felt even less professional and durable than DL. It has more plastic and its grip is not as good as the DL. But the focus indicator (right in the centre blinking) and focus speed is just phenomenal - just great for my poor eyesight with glass on. And it is on top of the killer thing - SR Or IS or VR .
O mine mine.
This is definitely in my 2009 budget and I may be spending it now.

i'll wait for the k10d. see what it's like. of course i'll probably need to put the house on time share to get it. and i thought that switching prime hobbies from a 27' sailboat to photography would be less expensive.nahhhh

maintance is sure easier tho...

Wherever did you get the idea that photography would be cheaper thana sailboat? I knew better when I read through my first photography book! Let's see, $300+ to upgrade the RAM in my computer, $140 for an external hard drive, $500+ for that 300mm lens I want, not to mention what I've already spent so far! And I'm lucky, I didn't have to buy the 2 fast prime lenses I have (well, I bought them 20 or more years ago).

yohoho and a bottle of rum!

I suffer from it too. Spending 50% of my computer time on ebay and reading lens reviews

Luckily I have another flaw, I'm very indecisive, which is keeping me from buying the first thing I see

I need some of the indecisiveness. If that help me out to tide out this storm of urge until K10D , that will be great.
