Hey,

Your pain is our gain.
Nice close up shots. My pain is somewhere my wallet is . It hurts to fund these photo purchase. Lately I have not been producing any decent ones, not to mention the steller quality pict you produce.

I had nasty nasty pains all over my stomach today, spent the morning in bed trying to sleep it off but nothing worked so eventually I decided to venture out, every bump I drove over felt like I was being kicked in the stomach, I was in agony.

My heart really wasn't in it today because I was in so much pain but here are a couple of the shots I managed.

Alison, Excellent shots ...3rd & 4th are definitely my favorites! So sorry to hear of your stomach ailments! Not to be too personal, but is this a rare occurence or more often? My wife has celiac's disease & you kinda descibed how she would talk about her pains before it was diagnosed. Hopefully, it's just a temporary bug(no pun intended!) & you'll be back to your great picture taking self! Best of luck!

Firstly, thank you all so much for the wonderful comments, it's really appreciated.

Ron, this is a rare occurance for me to have such stomach pains, I don't have women's issues as I had it all taken away when I was 28 but have recently been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia which apparantly can cause all kinds of pain including in the stomach.

This actually started yesterday and am hoping it will pass very quickly.

Not heard of Celiac's disease but if your wife suffers this kind of pain on a more regular basis, she really does have my sympathy, it's horrid.

Thank you all again for the comments and also for the good wishes, I will go to bed soon and hopefully wake up feeling much better.

Alison, my sympathies truly go across the pond to you. I knew that I had heard of fibromyalgia before & just realized it came up over a conversation about my cousin having rheumatoid arthritis. You may have heard of Celiac's without realizing it, especially around the British Isles. It is being allergic to the germ in wheat (or other grains like barley, malt, rye, oats, etc) & the germ is called gluten. When we were on holiday in Ireland two years ago, we noticed a lot of warning labels & food advertisements like "Contains wheat" or "Gluten Free" which was great for my wife! She was diagnosed about 9years ago with it. After MUCH trial & error with local doctors ("BULK UP" - pastas, beer, bread) which only made her sicker. Finally, she was down to less than 90lbs when she went to an allergy specialist & he figured it out. Now she's great & healthy ... as long as she stays away from gluten ... which is TOUGH..constantly reading food labels!

Ok...too much information, I know! Hope tomorrow brings you a much better day!

Alison hope you're feeling better soon - no one wants to be in pain. The fact you endured the pain to shoot images shows your 'love' for photography.

Whether an experiment or not, I think the last one is great. How wonderful it must be to look at such an insect so close whilst it is still alive, without flying away.
