I've been following Daniel's thread and those of others regarding the split screen and have a couple of questions:

1. What material is this made of - glass, plastic, etc.

2. Could one use the split screen from lets say a Spotmatic or ME on the istD.

Ans:
1. Plastic and very very easy to scratch. I scratched my DL screen by dropping it say 1/10 inch. Of course, I have learned it the hard way now that I can replace it without any scratch. It is a delicate 1 minute operation.
2. Yes assuming Sp or Me screen is bigger than that of D or Ds or DL. Cutting and calibration will be difficult unless you are in the business. If it is smaller, you will need custom spacer - again you will need the expertise to make one. Said easier than done.
