All awesome! I can certainly understand your facination with photographing such an interesting natural phenomenon. Some people probably think that its boring to take pictures of flowers all the time, but there are lots of people who do that over and over. Lightning is far more difficult to me.

Alison I agree with you - unfortunately that's what we got in our backyard and parks. I have been studying the area to see good place for lightning shots but we haven't had any storms lately.

Wow, Phil, I've got to get that program. I especially love what neatimage did to that first picture with the clouds. Good job and thanks. Here is a new photo I shot Saturday night over Missouri Southern State University. Finding a good place to shoot is key, but sometimes, the storm doesn't cooperate with those plans. Over the years, I've figured out that most of those cool posters with lightning were shot in Arizona, over Tuscon or Phoenix, because that area has many thunderstorms with verga, or the rain that evaporates before it hits the ground. Unfortunately here in Missouri, most thunderstorms come with rain, and the DL is not waterproof. It makes for a challange to shoot lightning. This has been one of those good months however. I've gotten good lightning shots on five different days this month. One place I've always wanted to shoot a thunderstorm, but never gotten the chance, is Sandia Peak overlooking Albuquerque.

Yet another awesome Shot!!!! Unfortunalty Here in Conn In the town were i Live. There are just to many Hills to get Shots like Yours. Plus I am Too Chicken About my life and my Baby (DS)to chance getting shots while its raining and Storming.
So please keep these shots coming for Chickens like me.
There is a Free version of Neat Image and a Pay version. If you try the free version and like it. I would Suggest that you Get the paid Version "Home +" this has a plugin that will Install In Photoshop Elements/CS2 and Paint Shop Pro
