Nice subtle tones, I like it. One suggestion forthese small web display versionsyou could probably have the contrast and sharpness boosted a little, this makes up for the relative lack of detail in a small image. This image must be impressive at full resolution. Raw capture has allowed you to capture such a broad dynamic range and excellent detail.

Great work, now let's see more (we are a greedy bunch after all).

Hi Ira:

Thanks very much for your comment.I'm fairly new at this and any advice is most welcome.I have had the *ist DL2 for 3 months now and just love the quality ofphotos that it allows me to take. When it comes to editing I'm really at a loss.I use Picasa2 for basic fixing. And yes the image is superb in full resolution.

Ross-

You might want to take a look at Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0or 3.0. I know 4.0 can work with the Adobe Raw Plug-in, and I believe that version 3.0 will as well. IMHO that combination make RAW a good deal easier to work with, at least for me.

what i like to do with an image like this is add a lot of shadows to it when i convert it. it would darken your background and add a lot of detail to the flower. it's a nice image anyway..

this one is with exp. corrected, shadows added, a little saturation boost. and a high pass set at 8 for sharpening.
