I'm a reporter and photographer for an on-line newspaper in Joplin, Mo. I'm also editor of the newspaper, although I don't like to claim that sometimes. I use my DL at work which means I get a lot of practice with it. I bought the camera in late April and I just shot my 11,000th picture with it. The picture is me at an event I'm covering. You can see my stuff at http://www.joplindaily.com

Are we ever a diverse lot! I'm a Planroom Manager - glorified name forsomeone who maintains architectural drawings (over 60,000 of them)for a whole bunch of buildings (I canfind the one drawing showing where the shut-off valve is for the fire hydrant a truck driver just ran over).

Well as you know, I am about to embark on a worldwide and challenging job as a Federal Agent in the International Deployment Group of the Australian Federal Police, providing Peace Keeping and Regional Development Missions in different countries for the next 2yrs.

I have been a Police Officer for over 18 yeras and a soldier before that. My current job is as an investigator into serious and fatal crashes with the responsiblity of investigating and determining if there is sufficient evidence to charge the surviving driver and to lay those charges, usually manslaughter or Dangerous Driving Occasioning Death. In the US we are called Vehicle Homicide Detectives.

I get to do the good stuff too, like play CSI, (which is close but not quite right) I get to do all my own crime scene photography and that also involves scenes shots, macro shots, and night time shots. I get to experiment with different photo techniques on each job.

Geee we are a mixed bag of poeple aren't we and we ALL love our PENTAX cameras? :bye::bye:
