I havent posted much lately, too much work and too little time. But last Thursday-Friday my scool greeted the new first grade students (would be 10:th grade in the UK system) with a one night camping experience far out of town. 250 kids! The weather was perfect, and so was the spirit amongst the students and teachers alike.

And with a nice model the 200 mm A* makes a nice portrait lens.

Thanks for looking.

nice and sharp photos, I really like candids like that

something a little off topic now: rope pulling would be impssible in UK. that's because when somebody gets hurt (like falling on their bottom and yelling aaa) parents would sue the school for compensation. besides in couple years they'll ban all sorts of competitions becaus children who don't win may have nervous breakdown or feel worse and it may affect their self esteem (that's what some very clever people say, and they already started banning this sort of competitions or started giving equal prizes to everyone). and in 2012 when there's summer olympics in UK they will ask: why we don't have any medalists?

Glad to see that somewhere else people use common sense and keep all this funny stuff going. it's goodto get kids together to have some fun

I like all of them particularly the 1st, 3rd & 5th (last) one. The model (last pict) has really brought out the elegance of the * prime. 200mm is almost like 300mm which present problem in handholding. You did a great job.

BTW what were they (4th pict) doing behind the bushes? Developing inner soul? Were they painting?

Yep, painting. Not a joint in sight.
