I was bouncing around and found a morsel of info on the expected K10.

K10 will be priced under a $1000, with kit lens.
ISO will start at 100.
Confirmed 10 mp.
Dust removal and SR.
Arrival date end of September

Hi,

I've already seen all these specs before except anti dust, where do you see that?

I was in DPReview forum and a person had posted the specs
and had ordered one.

I've seen this topic but nothing about dust removal, missed certainly.

Edit : ok see that, in new post later, but seems to not be clear about dust removal.
But i'm a poor french guy that doesn't understand english enough :-)

Seems to be some conjecture about battery type, but the SR and anti dust is good.

My info has been adament it is a Samsung Sensor and not a Sony one. We will just have to wait and see.

Hmmm, these are all great features, but from a feature perspective, it seems identical to the Sony Alpha.

We'll see what the sensor performance is like, but for now I can't see why it would outdo the Alpha which has all the same features.

At least it does offer more than the new Rebel XTi

How many new features can there be? The key to the K10's success, and my decision to buy or not, will be the quality of the implementation.

10mp, SR, anti-dust with high noise, poor colour rendition etc and it fails.

10mp, SR, anti dust with low noise etc and it wins.

Agreed, shortly after I received my DL, I had the option of purchasing a E-500 for a very good price. I was still withing the return period of the DL, but ended up keeping even though it's only 6MP vs. the E-500's 8MP.

The cleaner sensor and more usable focal length were more important than MP, and other "gee-whiz" features.

I suppose if the implementation of the features on the K10D is done well, it could challenge the Alpha.

I hope they speed up the autofocus and add a dedicated AF assist light in addition to better low light focusing. Continuous shot speed and buffer could be better also. I am very impressed with the A100 features and handling, only problem is the noise issue.
