The horses at that Aladdin are for PF Changs China Bistro and if you have a chance stop in for their lettuce wrap, it is delicious and inexpensive.

Excellent shots Harriet, I can't tell from the small pictures what the source of flare might be. If you have an opportunity to take a similar shot do it with and without the filter and see if it makes a difference.

It's the filter. The fact that the ghosts have a nice linear relationship with the real subjects is a strong hint that the culprit is a linear surface.I've seen this a lot. It always happens when you use filter but with night shots the contrasts often make it more pronounced. With normal daytime photography, the ghosts are usually overwhelmed by the real subject.A filter with top-notch coatings will help a lot.
