These shots were taken with a 30 second shutter exposure. The SR system is good but I don't think the photos would have been sharp if I hand held for 30 seconds.

In the first shot, there is a bright light near the top. That was actually a fishing boat offshore. It was quite brightly lit on it's own. With a 30 sec exposure, it's lights pretty much washed out any detail of the boat itself.

what brand of filter and what quality? i ask about quality because hoya has 3 or 4 different quality filters. also is the UV a (O) or a (n)..

The UV filter is from Hoya 52mm pitch:0.75. Is it any good?

I like all of them but the first two are the best. I don't think the spotlight really detracts from the second one. Just tell people you hiked over there and set up a mega power flash to illuminate the rocky outcropping.
