Just see this latest news at the front page of PentaxLife.com http://pentaxlife.com/ (Direct link of this news article: http://pentaxlife.com/worst-camera-ever ), it is really extremely sad and disappointed to see Pentax has marketed a "POS" DC like the E10 which has polluted their brand name PENTAX as well as the "OPTIO line of DCs in a very very serious way.

Now that the reputation of Pentax has been put to the lowest level than ever before just because Pentax has put their name badge on such a piece of junk.

I know that the E10 is an OEM product which is actually not designed and made by Pentax in any means. As Pentax has no involvement in the product development and production, why Pentax bothered to make such a move and let such a piece of junk (s***, as agreed by almost all numerous user reviews at Digital Camera HQ) to pollute their long-established brand name?? If they decided to put a Pentax and Optio badge on such a POS, they should execute at least some minimal control or simply outsourced a better product/manufacturer. A tragedy afterall!

This is the PENTAX DSLR Forum, not just "dSLR Forum". And the case is about the brand PENTAX. So, it's relevant, although it's not specificially on DSLR issues. I believe that's also why PentaxLife.com reports this, too (They focus on DSLR news mainly).

I have owned a Pentax 35mm compact in the past that broke as well as the one the wife had. I have no interest in what Pentax offers in any field except Pentax DSLR stuff. I would advise you Ricehigh that it is not relevant to have posted that on the DSLR Pentax forum and it would have been much better suited in the digi camera section which i have no interest in reading and therefore do not take kindly to see u posting this here..

For once Ricehigh do the right thing. I have immense dislike of you as u have caused a lot of ill feeling on all web forums u seem to post on. I can only imagine that in real life you are as big a [email protected] as you make yourself out to be online!!!

I hope it is alright for meto side tracka bit on this topic; considering that you all Pentax guys also have side tracked a lot on the other RiceHigh threads. :-)

RiceHigh, I just saw you profile and you are an engineer??? :shock:Man, I always have a high respect for engineers, and I planned to be one someday(s).......Which field of engineering are you in? Aeronautical, Mechanical, Civil (construction), and (or) others?

I guess my earlier prediction of you was right after all, when I asked you whether are you an engineer.

Hope to get a reply from you. :-)

Seems you forgot another line...................

p.s. Canon A70 is also regarded as one of the "Worst Cameras Ever", although Pentax E10 takes the crown being the worst of the worst. Well, Nikon, Fuji and Sony are also mentioned in the article's beginning written by the DC HQ's editor..

ACTUALLY, Pentax is second.....:-)

At the time of this publication, the Polaroid PDC-5080 is a high ranking Google result for the phrase "worst digital camera ever," closely followed by our next entry.....

Ben... as an ex-engineering student (Botany was more fun), my only advise to you is never leave out critical data because it "doesn't fit" your assumptions..... nor ignore others....
and read and study carefully............
Hope they move this thread to Area 51 for "study" soon....
