Default Optio shot-shot lag solution

No, they didn't improve on this with the S4 and it still bothered me (like many I am sure)

I speculated that it was mostly write speed and opted for the new Ultra II SD cards which write at around 10mb/s

And Yes! Instead of the 4-5 secs on hi-res (and repeated alternating write lights) it's almost instant at the highest res and quality setting (in fact, being technical, ONE light ONCE)

I also expect that, to some degree, this will extend battery life as write time of SECONDS will be saved on every shot.

I'm very happy now. Now that's working for me, I just want Pentax (or someone else) to issue a combo USB charge/sync cable - why carry a camera in an altoid tin when you need a shoe box for all the gear?

How come? Most reviewers like www.imaging-resource.com (just compare Picky Details for S and S4) and www.dcresource.com measured substantial improvement.
