The other day someone recommended bettet to buy two 128MB SD than one 256MB SD.

The theoretic reason is to diversify risks (if you loose a SD you'll loose 128 instead 256 e.g.).

The price difference it's no big, but my question is if it's the same capacity two 128 than one 256.

Thanks

If you have only one you aren't going to lose it without losing the camera. If you have 2 and have to swap them in the field you have a good chance of eventually losing one.

Well... i'm thinking in more than one card :-)

The possibilities I see:

1. 256 + 256

2. 256 + 128 + 128

You are better of with buying what you want, as far as number of PICS without transferring to PC.

For Most people a 256mb is good place to start. It will store about85 [email protected] max res, and least compression/highest quality e.g. *** on the Optio.

That translates to a few roles of film so to speak; 2.5 36's or 3.5 24's

I have found this size to be good for most folk. You could always jump up to 512mb which have dropped recently in price to around $100 verus around $65 for a 256mb (not counting various rebates).
