Hello people, nice website here.
I just bought a Pentax Optio 60 camera, and works fine. However, With Duracell ultra M3 Batteries, it only lasts for 1 hour. So I took your advice and I am going to buy rechargable batteries with 2000 mAH, comes free with charger too .

However, in my instructions manual it says it requires "2 AA ALKALINE batteries." and I was wondering if Rechargable batteries will work with my camera because it says ALKALINE Batteries?

Thank you very much for your help.
If anyone wants a picture of my camera, I can take a photo of the box. If anyone is interested in information about the camera, DO ask.

Hello, You will have no problems with rechargables. They are your best bet. In a crunch energizer lithium batteries are great also. :|

First thing I did was to buy some rechargeables from Radio Shack. WELL worth the investment, and you wont be poisoning the landfills or air if you live near an incinerator.
