Default Casio Z3 / Pentax Optio S

Good review of Pentax Optio S. It would be even better if you can complete the review of Casio Z3 and make comparisons between these two brothers. Are the photos quality more or less the same, does the 2"LCD really matters? Just comparing the spec. on the catalogues of these 2 cameras, it seems that Optio S has more functions, e.g. voice recording, TV out, built-in speaker, x100 in movie recording mode that you can do some special effect such as fast moving clould, 3D photos. Seems more fun...

It's a little late to be asking, but would it be possible to post a stereoscopic sample from this camera?

Hello Steve,
I'm a little bit diasappointet - you don't say much about the quality of the Optio S ("like other even full size 3MP-cams"). I just printet the pics from the park ones from the Optio S and ones from the Canon A70. It seems we are talking about 2 and 3 MP Cams.
The pic of Optio S is (although 20% bigger in filesize) much worse than that of the A70 (details, exposure). Not to talk about the softness in the corners.
I mean it should be statet somehow: Sexy cam, but pic-quality is not even average in its class.
BTW: I'm very sad to write this, because I want to have a small 3MP cam with 35-105mm focal length.

There must be 50 to choose from, it's a crowded segment. 3 out of 4 digicams are small and have a 35-105mm lens or thereabouts.

Default Small an wide angle (35mm ....)

This segment is'nt so big at all.
There is the Canon S400 (36 ...108) or Finecam S3x and that's it.
All the others are bigger than 30mm in one dimension or
doesn't have a real wide angle.
I wish the A70 would be as thick as in datasheet (32 mm), but
this is the thinnst part of the cam - in fact it is more than 40mm thick.
