I just saw the Pentax Optio T10 at Circuit City last night. Are there any reviews (in English) out yet that any of you know about? Or any opinions from any of you familiar with this camera? Thanks.

I'm looking at this cam also. The 3 inch touchscreen is so cool. I found this review, but would appreciate any other feedback from users here.

Thanks!

Here are a lot of questions answered by Pentax self:

(babelfished)

And here some sampleshots:

As you can see, startuptime is 2.7s, shutter lag is 0.2s.

Beware. The screen looks great in the shop.... But is absolutely impossible to see in the sunlight!!!!!..... Even with your hands covering it, all you can see is your own reflection. Whats the point in having a 3inch screen if you can't see it?

I managed to get a hands-on with the T10 at the store that I work at. It is like a camera for teenagers. The camera is EXTREMELY slow when working with the LCD and I even managed to occationally crash the camera (it literally froze when I was taking pictures) twice. The stylus allows you to draw funny lines on the pictures and save them as new ones and the image quality of the camera is quite good.

However, the quality of the screen is quite poor and I can expect after repeated use the screen will get bashed in. Oh and when you touch the screen, the whole camera will become really slow just to show the menus.

The sum it up...the Pentax T10 is a great camera, but the frill will wear down EXTREMELY fast when you realize how slow it is.
