I've been going around town taking portraits of people I meet- lighting, background, etc. are all dependent upon the subject's location. I want to capture them in their own setting.

Here are a couple of them, please let me know what you think- thanks.

(taken inside a large garage)

(homeless man at the park)

(on a break from his job)

(owner of a restaurant)

All pictures taken with a Panasonic FZ20- natural light. Shot in 'portrait' mode. I'm lazy, but it works.

Let me know what you think, or if you have any suggestions.

Thanks- Karl

What's nice is to enclude maybe something from their work this way you will alway's remember what he/she is doing.

Nice photos. My favorite, overall, is the little girl. I like her coloring and sharpness. For individual subjects - the second photo is my favorite - you captured an 'essence' with that gentleman, it looks more natural- but there is a bit of green colorcast that distracts from it.

The little girl looks very natural, however. Her parents would probably love a copy.
