a good clear shot

i thnk in portrait situations try to avoid a highlighting backing like the window in the backing. it causes major highlight flarring and can often make the subject appear washed out.

If u can try shooting portraits in the shade. This usually projects a nice soft light and reduces the chances of harsh shadows.

Also play around withcrops. Usually witha shot like this a crop at upper chest is a good cropping point.
