There are a few things to came to mind when I looked at this photo.

1. The tree branch in the face of the cowboy is distacting.

2. The black range needed to be brought out in the levels.

3. The feet/legs of the horse were cut off.

I agree...

I think going even wider with the horse/rider to the left so it adds to the feeling of him gazing off. At the very least do not cut off any limbs... except the one covering the face
