Hello everyone....!

Here are three portraits of my fiancee I took with my new camera (Canon 350D / Digital Rebel XT) using the Canon 28-135mm f3.5-5.6 lens. I think it can do quite an OK job even if it is not a particularly fast lens (but when I really need to I use my Canon 50mm f1.8 for low light / more background blur / bokeh).

These photos were all taken between early December and New Years eve. Actually, she wasn't to know, but just 4 days after the first photo we got engaged!! (yes I'm a happy man!) :dude:

But back to the photos... I'd like to hear your opinions and please let me know which one of these three you like best and why.

Best wishes,

Paul

HI,

First wish you all the best in you life together with her as your fiancee......soon wife.

Seamse to me that the sun was no help for you.

The bacground is ok on #1, although the face is too much exosed on the sun I think and it doesn surve the photo at all.

#3 is the best one...although a little dark composition but it is best one here and the backgroung is OK. I think the colors are pretty well-white one is good and .................keep shooting..:|

Hey pj1974!

Congratulations!

:D

Third photo is especially nice.

I compliment your "vision" to "see" its composition!

Hi Zak!

Thanks for your remarks on the photos and best wishes for our future!

Yes, I was wondering whether the sun (especially in photo 1) would be looked upon as a NEGATIVE aspect.... a ray of sun caught her face as we were walking in a nature area, and I quickly "caught it"... but maybe it is a bit too bright.

I agree that #3 is perhaps the best of the bunch... and maybe also because I was getting a bit more used to the camera by then...

Thanks again,

Paul

Greetings again Digicamfan!

Also, thank YOU for your genuine and kind congratulations.

Aha... seems like 3 is the photo that you favour most too (3 is the number c.f. the challenge of the week!!)

Hopefully (even though I'm "love blind" I will still have enough vision to see and compose more photos of her in the future... for many years to come! :-)

Have a good day...

Paul
