The light is beautifu, her expression is wonderful. And it adds interest that she's doing somthing. It all comes together for me. One of the advantages of taking pictures of very young children, is that the primary emotions are right on top, with no self-censoring.

Two nits to pick:

1. The stuff piled behind the chair is a bit of a distraction. I think I would try to clone it out, or at least reduce it a bit.

2. The pencil surface facing he window is very overexposed. You could select that area and darken it just a bit.

Otherwise, a remarkably good picutre. I love it.

Thanks so much

The pictures I shot of her were not planned. She was drawing and I just started shooting. I shot maybe 40 pics of her and got 5 that were terrific.

NOt sure how to fix the lighting on the pencil. I have Elements 3 but have just started using it and dont even know if it can do what you suggested

As for the toys in the background, I thought about that but ya know, if I remove them I think the whole thing would be too sterile, but thats just my opinion. I dont think it overwhelms the shot so I decided to leave them in

Thanks again for your comments!
