Into The Night

I am by no means a photographer of people, that is outside of my comfort zone. I leave that area of expertise to my girlfriend who shoots weddings. however, I would like to learn just to expand my possibilities, some say I have a dark personalty and a lot will see that in my photos, But I think it makes for good images. here are a few that I shot the other night of my girlfriend. hope you enjoy!

I personally love them, love the first one but I think my fav is #2

i really like shot #1 here, its a great perspective and mood. #2 has good mood as well and the shadow and lighting is great, so i guess the more i look at it the more i appreciate it.

#3 the shadow is just great. but the rest of photo doesnt do much for me

I find a problem with this picks. The situation is made-up and you can feel it.

Thanks Guys, The 3rd one was just being fun. not trying to get anything out of it but that.

Ordo, I do not know what you mean that the situation is made up? What is "made up" about it?

Mugmar Apr 9, 2010 7:10 PM

I like the feel of the first two. I think what Ordo means is the shots are posed instead of being a real "street Shot" which is what he does alot of.

I like them, the setting and mood of your shot is very clearly represented in the shot. The play with light and shadows works nicely also.

Ahh. Thanks for clearing that up. and thanks for the compliments guys, This is my first time photographing a person (my girlfriend) so I have alot to learn.

And Ordo, as for the shots being posted.. I have a hard enough time taking pics of people when they are "posed" like this, let alone photographing random strangers on the street :)
