I have been doing shots like this alot lately.......

I'm not to familiar with Backdrops though, Ive just been using a plain white sheet, I want to start getting nice coloured backgrounds, where do I start folks?

Any of the large photo supplies sell a multitude of backdrops and the associated hardware. If you are in the states check out B&H photo (local in NYC)

you can get a basic stand for < a couple hundred bucks (or make one yourself if you dont mind it not being foldable, etc. to hold one backround. More expensive ones will have options for switching between multiple scenes, etc.
