hi frank great range of shots

I know ppl have probably asked this question to death but what lens are you using for this range of shots

I have just bought a dslr (rebel xt) and i have owned it for 1 day now and so far im loving it. Now i want to go on this lens buying frenzy.

i have seen the following lens selling for a decent price and i wouldnt mind your input on it for portrait use. I notice a few ppl using these very lo fstop lenses for portrait stuff.

50mm - f1.4

thanks

ken

50mm 1.4 is a wonderful lens on a APS-C camera.
I use the 85mm 1.8 Canon on the 5D and in this case the Tamron 28-75 f2.8

Additional question:

Have you used a strobe for this session at all. Specially interested in photos 2 and 6, or it was just a continious light set up.
