Thanks, I did it way you described but I guess on a young child you don't need as much smoothing, I think the duplicate way might be the way to go.

absolutely, i use the layer technique about 50% of the time too

no worries

Ken - Thanks for the GREAT description on how you did the editing. It doesn't seem soo hard now :-).

thanks mate

no its not hard at all. Just trying to find the right combinations that work. In these images i just whipped together a quick combintion as these were just play around shots.

thanks

ken

Hi Mate

yes, before i bought my fz i also considered the s9X00. As mentioned so far i am very happy with the cam. What do you think of the f1.8. Is it sharp and are the tones natural. Ive heard its only sharp from f2.8+?

thanks for the coments mate

Yes i think it is sharp at 1.8 although better at 2.8, and it has good tones, great out of camera results.

Yea i have heard the kit lens is not the hottest lens to run. Im lookin to purchase a f1.8 50m later this week. i was very impressed with some shots i have seen with it.

thansk mate

ken

Im starting to think that the 18-55 kit lens gets a bad rap unfairly, sure its no L lens but Ive managed to get some reasonable shots from it

what do you think?

very nice range of shots. Yea so far im happy with wat the kit lens is doing. I think im just getting caught in the rush where everyone is saying it aint really that good. So it makes me think "so i can get better".

Maybe a bit of a placebo effect to i guess.

But once again great shots mate. So far im very happy with the kit lens

Im keeping the kit just for the wide angle, I dont use it much. Thinking of the 50mm 1.8 for lowlight shots. Really want a 100mm macro to go with my other lenses. The one I really would like is the canon 28-300 usm L. But I dont have several thosuand dollars to spend LOL
