This is whitney, an aspiring theatre actress. Beautiful girl, who i'm helping get a portfolio of different headshots.

let me know what you think. i have a lot more, and i'll post them later. just these three were the ones that jumped out at me.

comments and suggestions are welcome, and greatly appreciated.

I really like 1 & 2. I'd like to see #1 in BW...great texture & pose

#3 light is a bit too harsh or something, can't put my finger on it? was that a direct flash?

your B&W request.

i kindof like this one in B&W as well. did some dodging and burning as well, and messed around w/ the highlights.

i don't know, i like it better i think.

anyone else?

if you are worried about highlight flarring a cheap trick is to create a new layer and use the "shadowns/highlights" option, "0" the shadows detail and play with the highlight detail. Only look at highlight detail and adjust until you are happy with the highlights. Once done, with the layer on top select blending mode "DARKEN" then this will only add the parts on this image which are darker, which should only be the highlights you have played with. So you can mess with your original image all you like and be able to pull back those flared highlights latter with this top layer. As always play with the opacity until the mix looks right

great work there mate. Personally i dont see anything wrong with the last image worth haggling about but just for your information this is how i would tackle it.
