the bw is very good, looks like you over smoothed her skin though....babies/toddlers don't need much if at all, before it starts to look odd. JMO

Hello Meiko! Love all the color photos, the b/w is fantastic, her eyes really make the shot! Excellent edit!

Thanks Bob.. She really is a cutie.. made my job very easy. I have not done much B/W work at all, and I know this is not just a typical conversion, but I was very happy with the results and was very interested in what others would think.

Thanks for your comments..

What type of lighting setup are you using? Just 2 lights?
I actually used 3 lights. The 3rd was on the background, but turned way down. Not sure if it was even needed, I'm still very new with the lighting, and trying to muttle my way through while learning.

love the black and white one she needs a little halo over her head
Thanks Nach. She was a real trooper considering she had a cold and was cranky. I wasn't sure If I would get any keepers, but she is so sweet, and I think that came through..

Thanks

Thanks Urbanaries. I actually did not smooth her skin, it was a product of one of the filters I used.. I wondered about that at the time, but I did like the look. Thats why I decided to post it up here to see what others thought.

I havn't even shown her Mom this one yet.. thought I might be working on it a little more yet..

Thanks for your opinion..
