hey guys, wanted to share my new lighting "look" thanks to the ST-E2 getting the 580 off camera. The best $200 I've spent in a while. these are straight out of camera, haven't sharpened or anything yet.

comments/critiques welcome as always!

#1 is a brilliant shot!
Very nice lighting, but a wee bit blown out on the baby's face! still- beautiful photo!

Of camera flash (can be done with a cord by the way) is the best way to improve flash performance.

On picture one the whites are blown which is a pitty because the shot is so cute

Thanks guys,

I shot in RAW so should be able to recover some of the highlights in Lightroom. It doesn't bother me as much as it usually would...i was going for an ethereal, dreamy effect.

Frank, yeah cords are fine too, they are somewhat limiting though. Cordless is always preferable!!!
