I was asked to take some photos of one of the booths at the local garden show. Kids were invited to'plant a bean' to take home with them. I was trying to get some candid shots, and found thatif I shot with available light and no flash, they completely ignored the camera (unlike the adults that all stare at the lens). I've never been comfortable shooting people, so I would appreciate any comments. Both pictures were cropped and resized, no other PP.

Thanks for looking.

I've always found people shots to be my favorite. My two cents are: 1) maybe using a flash for situations like the second shot to illuminate the girl's face (which may present problems with the light over-exposing some of the other close objects) and 2) cropping the first picture differently to include more of the pot. Though the cropping you did brings focus to the to boy nicely, I wonder if it might tell a better story showing more of him overlooking the project.
