Hi guys,

Was at the local medieval festival earlier this year, i was intending to get a shot of the mock battle and then this idiot just popped up out of nowhere. I know the face is a little soft but i literally did not have the time to focus properly!

Instead of binning i thought it worthy of a little work over!

Please let me know what you think!

Thanks Matt.

Well.....I think the Jester photo of yours...is one of those lucky shots we sometimes get, quite by accident.

I would crop it a bit...too get some of the tiny people massing in the background, or play around with the background.

I kind of like it...distinctively different.

I think it's bizzare enough that it works. The contrast between the Jester and the rest of the frame is striking on a number of different levels.

If you can locate him, I think he'd like a copy.

I like this picture..I keep returning to it. I think if you cropped the bottom 1/4 or so, delete the people and the trees, in the background ...just have the Fool and the interesting sky and the wide angle aspect...I believe this would emphasize the drama.

I think one of the reasons the image is so appealing is the contrast. If you crop anything, you'll lessen the contrast. I think others are trying to make it more of a classical textbook photo, but I think it's charm is that it flys in the face of the textbook. I think you can make it a better photo of a jester, but I think you'll lose some of the 'jest' when you do.

Definately great the way it is. Dont do a thing. The Jester is so prominent it wouldnt do the photo justice by cutting out the little people. They offer the reason why he is there. Im interested in how you got such a great depth of field. Is almost like you pasted the jester on the photo. There is no EXIF data so I couldnt see your camera settings. However it was achieved its a nice one.
