An artistic shot. Half the photo is dark above the subject, I wonder what it would be like to crop just the man in the 'yellow hat' (My apologies to Curious George fans) Is the golden light natural?
All the best,
Joe B.

I would like to see a trail of smoke from the end of the cigarette up through the black void above. That would really finish it off nicely in my opinion.

I like the black above his head..... I like the colors and I like the fact we can't see part of his face... Gives me a feel of there is something this subject wants to hide but will tell us if we can get past the darkness... if that makes sense.. But we have to see if he is telling us the truth or if he is playing with us. He has some shiftness to his eyes...

I like the shot alot, very nice...........

thanks for the comments.

i agree i like this because of the mystery about him.

the colour had a lot more red out of the camera. this is an ultraviolet capture (baader U filter, blocks all of the visible and infrared spectrum) light was provided by the nikon SB-14 flash which does transmit a healthy dosage of UV compared to many other flashes. most often some processing will have to be done to look better than sraight from the camera for UV, so hue and saturation adjustments in ACR got the colour the way it is here.

As for some smoke off the end of the cigarette i agree it would look good there, im not sure if it wasn't there to begin with or the ultraviolet nature made it disapear from view.
