It's a little creepy in the E.T./Close Encounters way.

The background is almost completely washed out and the foreground is almost black. The two figures can only be discerned by their outlines.

If you were going for that kind of photo, it wouldn't be too bad, but personally I don't like it so much.

Yeah, this picture sometimes gets that reaction. The lighting was very difficult, too bright in the background and too dark up close. I optioned to meter on the dark area, causing the background to wash out. Should I have called it "Alien Abduction Pending..."

Powerful image...

The photo conveys a sense that your children are returning...
returning from an otherworldly experience...
returning back from "the light"...to their parents...
out of frame.
