Hi guys,

My first ever paid shoot. I had to light the subject in a church of all places, in broad daylight. Not the easiest set up for my first ever commercial shoot!

Any feedback on this shot would be appreciated!

Thanks for the help

You done did good Longside. Thats an excellent composition and lighting. I cant see a thing wrong with it. I like the way different elements fade into black.

I understand the concept, but unless you are going to crop it mid-calf, he needs feet.

Good lighting and composition, all seem to blend well together. I (IMO) would have faded to complete black just after his feet.

I'm surprised to hear that's your first paid shoot, my friend, your works appear in magazines for some time!

Anyway, I liked the solemnsetting here, achieved by the lightingquite matchingthe thoughtful pose of the model, who is tactfully placed in front of some frameworking as anichewhich is supposed to house the likeness of an important person...In this regardthe subject matter in your photograph even reminded me of a donor ina renaissance or late gothic painting
