OK, one more thing that I thought of just now. What ISO are you using? Using a high ISO, probably 800 or above, could produce what I'm seeing.

Just another thing to check out! Have fun.

Hope you don't mind my un-sophisticated opinion...
#3 7 8 are the most flattering poses. I also like that she isn't looking down the camera lens.

#9 I think the lighting is a wee bit harsh. And her hair is too pretty to crop that much. IMHO.

keep on truckin!

After thought… I like #1 too
# 2 I think would work if she would turn her head just a little to her left and tilted back just a bit and looking off in that direction, in a playful sort of way…

thanks for the input and the suggestions.

ISO were mostly 100-160 and occassionally 400.

Gonna try and play with some settings suggested this week.

Also keep giving feedback on these but my cousin just had a baby a few weeks ago and wants some shots of him any suggestions on ideas, angles, etc to take these shots. Ecap

Ahhh, baby pictures. What fun. I tend to use natural light in these situations. Put the new baby and mother near a window, set your camera to portrait mode (If it has one) for soft focus (Not a lot of detail), and shoot away. If you canshoot while the baby is sleeping, and resting in the mother's (Or, parents, even) arms, that's a good shot, as well. And, pics of the baby feet are cute. These are jsut a few ideas to get you started.
