Once being a fan of western films, I quite enjoyed seeing your pictures!Oh, I don't think I watched that TV series though Thus, my impressions about Wyatt Earph relies on the 'epic' film Kevin Costner (who was born when that series was on!!) starred.I don't know how you compare...

Many North American baby boomers associate actor Hugh O'Brien as Wyatt Earp from the popular TV show, that I suppose was only for the most part, screened in Canada and the US.

It's true that James Garner also played the part, but Garner was the star of Maverick, another popular TV show in the '50's. He also did a great job as James Rockford, in the Rockford Files. This IMO, was possibly one of the best..ever...TV shows. He is a fine actor, no doubt.

Don't forget Kurt Russell as Wyatt Earp in Tombstone.

Don't forget Burt Lancaster as Wyatt Earp in the 1957 "Gunfight at the OK Corral". Kirk Douglas played Doc Holiday. The director of that movie made the sequel that starred James Garner as Earp.

I remember those days. When I was a mite in the '50's I had a 2 gallon hat (I was a little guy), chaps and two faux pearl handled six shooters (cap guns).

Am I the only one blown away by the passage of time? In the second photo there is a picture of Hugh O'Brian back in the days he played Wyatt Earp on tv. He now stands beside that picture completely unrecognizable. We all change as we get older. Unfortunately tv preserves us in our prime so that one never changes as the years go by. Then we see a picture like you have submitted and we see that person who has aged in a second to present day. I still think its kinda shocking and faces us to look at our own mortality.
